Broome Hill Farm, which stands 450 feet above sea level, is a 500 acre family run mixed farm consisting of cattle, sheep, a stud of Welsh cobs, crops and corn.
Broome Hill is farmed by Harry and son James whilst Margaret runs the self-catering cottages.
Harry's father came to farm Broome Hill in 1932 when he took over the running of the farm from his uncle's who had been here since the turn of the century.
The oldest building on the farm is dated 1702 and the farmhouse was built in 1809. In 1970 the modernisation of the farm buildings began followed by the cottages in 1996.
The two stone built cottages, Dene View and Moor Croft, date from the mid 19th century, and are situated in a commanding position overlooking miles of open countryside.
Being situated four miles west of the historical market town of Alnwick, the cottages are an ideal base for exploring the National Park, Cheviot Hills, Heritage coast, Lindisfarne and the many castles in the area or simply just relaxing.
